Advent & Christmas Holiday Schedule

The Advent and Christmas season is a special time of year for the Presbyterian Church of the Master family. Full of music and celebration, we join together to remember and commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Most important is that our celebration be shared with everyone. That is why we invite you to join us for worship, music, and celebration throughout the holidays. Come help us make the Christmas season special this year.

Special Musical Events
Sunday, Dec 1: River City Ringers, 6:00 pm
The River City Ringers is Omaha’s community bell choir. No charge for admission; offering received to support the chorus.
Sunday, Dec. 8: Children’s Advent/Christmas Program, 10:30 am  (during Worship service)
The children of our Sunday School present a musical telling of the story of Christmas in a contemporary setting, during the 10:30 worship service only. After the service, all are invited to a “Happy Birthday Jesus” lunch.
Sunday, Dec. 8: A Barbershop Christmas, 7:00 pm
The Heartland Harmonizers (men’s chorus) and Acapella Omaha (women’s chorus) combine for a festive program. No charge for admission; offering received to support the Cornbelt Diabetes Connection, a mobile health project of Cosmopolitan International.
Sunday, Dec. 22: Chancel Choir Cantata, 8:00 am & 10:30 am
Our Chancel Choir provides excerpts from Handel’s Messiah at both Worship services.
Special Worship Services
Saturday, Dec. 21: Longest Night Service, 6:30 pm
This quiet service of Scripture and song is especially for those who are sad or grieving, or wish to escape briefly the “enforced merriment” and noise of the holidays.
Tuesday, Dec. 24: Christmas Eve services, 5:30 (jazz) and 11:00 (quiet)
Come for Jazz Christmas at 5:30 pm or a more traditional service at 11:00 pm. Both will include a service of light and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
 Sunday, Dec. 29: Worship Service, 9:30 am (only)
The first Sunday after Christmas Day will feature one service of worship, focused on carols and poetry, at 9:30 am.
Sunday, Dec. 15: Pancakes, Pajamas, and Presbyterians, 5:00 pm
Wear your flannel nighties to enjoy the Pancake Man, crafts, and carols.
Sunday, Dec. 29: Keefer Open House, 2:00 – 4:00 pm
The Pastor and his wife invite the community for fellowship and refreshments at the Church apartment, on the south end of the building.
