The winter solstice is Monday, December 21 and that evening our Longest Night Service will be available via YouTube. Chris Krampe and I will conduct it from our sanctuary and you may join us from the comfort of your home. It will be live at 6:00 pm and will be recorded, should you prefer to view it later.

It will follow the usual format of music, prayer, Scripture, and silence. You may wish to have some candles handy that you can light, in particular in response to a Scripture. Find a comfortable, quiet place to experience it, where you are unlikely to be disturbed.

Although all can benefit, the Longest Night Service is especially helpful to those who have reason to grieve this Christmas, or who feel sad or lonely. The promise of Scripture and the hope of the Light of the World reassure us in our longest night.
