Call to Worship:
For just as the body is one and has many members,
All the members of one body, though many, are one in Christ.
There are none that are greater or lesser when viewed by God,
But each is of equal honor and equal importance.
God has appointed each of us with a variety of gifts,
And together we rejoice and use these gifts to the honor of Christ Jesus.

Magnificent God, Holy One, hear us as we pray to you. We ask your forgiveness for times when we have failed to live in community and right relationship with one another; for times when we have hurt others on purpose or inadvertently through our deeds and actions. You show us through your disciples that we are meant to work together but we acknowledge that this can be both challenging and difficult.
Give us your grace and your wisdom, that we might live into the loving communities you imagine for us. Bring us alongside others whose faith can lift us and support us as we move through the world.

If God was not on our side, we could not stand in the judgment. But God is with us, steadfast and faithful, as we seek to live in peace.
