“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” – Matthew 25:35
Omaha is a community with many members who are uncertain of where their next meal will come from. That is why we open our doors the third Saturday of every month to anyone in need of a meal. We serve a hot meal from Noon to 2:00 p.m. All are welcome.
Things to know:
- We serve lunch monthly on the third Saturday. Meals are served between noon and 2:00 p.m.
- There is no charge or fee for the meal.
- No IDs are checked.
- No questions are asked except a brief survey regarding how you heard about us. We are looking for better ways to get the word out among those facing food insecurities.
- We are a More Light congregation which means we are welcoming of all. Regardless of your race, sexual orientation, occupation, nationality, language spoken…you are welcome at our table for a meal.
- Our only goal is to help our fellow children of God who are facing challenges in their life. You will not be asked about your religion or faith. Further, we do not evangelize or ask you to participate in any type of religious service.
“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.” – Hebrews 13:2
